The Seoul Metropolitan Government has been expanding its universal design to create an environment that does not discriminate anyone on the basis of gender, age, nationality or disability.
Following with the enactment of the Framework Ordinance on the Creation of Universal Design Cities in 2016, Seoul established the comprehensive plan for universal design in August 2020 to include the development direction to the city where everyone is respected.
Through the phased implementation of the Universal Design Comprehensive Plan, Seoul will establish universal design as a new standard in the post-COVID-19 era. This will include all areas of administration in Seoul to achieve 'Tomorrow For Everyone'.
